General Terms and Conditions

Your privacy is very important to EKbeauty. We therefore adhere to the Privacy Act. This means that your data is safe with us and that we always use it properly. In this privacy statement, we explain what we do with the information we learn about you at the www.ekbeauty.be webshop.

If you have any questions, or want to know exactly what we keep of you, please contact Ekbeauty.

Use of personal data
When using our web store, we receive the following information about you:

  • Name, address and city

  • Phone number

  • Billing address

  • Email address

  • Payment details

  • IP address

The law calls this "personal data" and says we may only use it if we explain exactly why and for what reason. You can read this below.

We do not give your personal data to other companies or agencies, except when this is necessary for the web store or when the law says that it must. An example is that we may report to the police if fraud is suspected.

Your account
Some parts of our web store require you to register first. You must then provide information about yourself and choose a user name. With this information we create an account, where you can log in with this user name and a password of your choice. We save this information so you do not have to fill it in again and again and so we can contact you more easily if necessary.

We keep this information for as long as your account exists. You can edit information through your account whenever you want.

Order processing
When you place an order with us, we use your personal data to be able to process it properly. We may give your personal data to our delivery service to deliver the order to you. We also receive information about your payment from your bank or credit card company.

We keep this information as long as necessary to complete the order, and then until the warranty expires. Some information we keep longer because the law requires it. For example, we must keep proof of your purchase and your invoice for seven years from the Internal Revenue Service.

Advertising
We would like to send you advertising about offers and new products or services. We do this by:

  • via social media

You may object to this advertising at any time. Every email contains an unsubscribe link. You can block us or use the unsubscribe option.

 

Contact form and niewsletter
You can use the contact form to ask us questions or make requests. In order to do so, you must provide certain information. We will keep this information until we are sure that you are satisfied with our response and six months thereafter. This way we can easily retrieve the information in case of follow-up questions. It also allows us to train our customer service to be even better.

You can subscribe to our newsletter. It contains news, tips and information about our products and services. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. You can also do this through your account. Your email address will only be added to the list of subscribers with your permission.

Sharing data with third parties
Under no circumstances will we give your personal data to other companies or institutions, except if this is necessary for our web store or if we are legally obliged to do so (for example, if the police demand this in case of suspected crime).

Some partners are located outside the European Union. Social media buttons are included in our webshop. The operators of these services use these buttons to collect your personal data.

Cookies
Our web store uses cookies. Cookies are small files in which we can store information so that you do not have to fill it in every time. But they also allow us to see that you are visiting us again.

When you visit our web store for the first time, we show a message explaining cookies. If you continue to use our web store, we will assume that you do not object to the cookies.

You can disable cookies through your browser, but some things in our webstore will not work properly then.

We have made agreements with other companies that place cookies about the use of cookies. Yet we have no complete control over what they do with the cookies. So please also read their privacy statements.

Cancellation of an appointment

You may reschedule or change your appointment at no charge within 48 hours prior to treatment so that the reserved time can be booked by another client. This is then only via E-MAIL.

If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of treatment, you will be charged 50% of the treatment. We understand that you may be unable to attend due to illness etc. therefore we will give you the opportunity to reschedule within 30 days and you will only have to pay the other 50%. (Provided that the first 50% has already been paid).
So the payment ( advance payment ) is never returned because that date was reserved for you.
So you can move your amount. And not cancel it.

If You do not keep the appointment the minimum full treatment will be charged.

+ the paid amount of your appointment and as a penalty per time block another €20 per 30 minutes.

You have 12 to 24 hours to reschedule your cancelled appointment that you cancelled at TIME.

Please note that if you have an appointment on Wednesday and you want to cancel it, you have to report it at the latest on Monday morning!

ANNULATION DAY AFTER, there will NEVER be a refund of the payment, the reserved hour and time is then free and no one can book, if you cancel 48 hours in advance you may always redeem your deposit in 30 days. But then you will not get a penalty!

LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION.No matter what reason ( illness, no babysitter, etc)

This can only be done through email and not through SOCIAL MEDIA etc.
Please respect these conditions. If not we will take further steps.

CORONA ? Should you be quarantined? that is YOUR responsibility and not ours we have nothing to do with it!!! And do you lose your advance or payment.

It's a bad time for everyone.

Not canceling an appointment on time or not showing up and not paying a deposit? you will pay a €50 fine the next session!

If 10 people start calling every day saying we need to be quarantined ? Then we shouldn't work anymore.

If you want to change or reschedule an appointment you must do so 48 hours in advance.

You can change your scheduled appointment up to 2x. After multiple changes the advance payment will be withdrawn or a €35 transaction fee will be added.

Gift Certificates

Do you have a gift certificate? Then you can use our email address info@ekbeauty.be to make an appointment.

If you cancel your appointment less than 48 hours, your gift certificate will be forfeited.

Do you come to your appointment without your gift card? Then you pay for this appointment. 
We do not perform treatments without gift certificates. 
no gift voucher = no treatment 

gift certificate with your name is then no longer usable. 

EACH GIFT CERTIFICATE IS VALID FOR 1 YEAR.

Voucher that is no longer valid you cannot use. 

1 or 2 days later also not you can book an appointment before your date.

 

Being late

Therefore, should you be late for your appointment, unfortunately this time will be deducted from the treatment duration. However, you will be charged for a full treatment.

In case you are late, it is at the discretion of the beautician whether the treatment can still continue. If the treatment must be canceled, the cost of a full treatment will be charged. 

Analysis data
We use analysis tools such as Google Analytics to keep track of how visitors use our web store. We have a processing agreement with this party. This contains strict agreements about what they are allowed to keep track of.

Security
Security of personal data is of great importance to us.

The website and webshop of Ek Beauty may contain hyperlinks to other websites. These websites may operate completely independently of EkBeauty, without Ek Beauty having any control over these website(s). Ek Beauty shall never be liable for the content of the information provided or obtained by or through these websites. Nor shall Ek Beauty be liable for any other use of these websites.

Changes to this privacy statement
When our web store changes, we naturally have to update the privacy statement as well. So always pay attention to the date above and check regularly for new versions. We will do our best to announce changes separately as well.

Access and change your data
If you have any questions or want to know what personal data we hold about you, you can always contact us. See the contact details below.

You have the following rights:

  • get an explanation of what personal data we have and what we do with it

  • access to the exact personal data we hold

  • having errors corrected

  • to have outdated personal data removed

  • withdrawal of consent

  • object to a particular use

Please make sure that you always clearly state who you are, so that we can be sure that we are not modifying or deleting data from the wrong person.

Filing a complaint
If you feel that we are not helping you in the right way, you have the right to file a complaint with the regulator. This is called the Personal Data Authority.

 

REPAYMENT/ CHANGING YOUR MIND
Individual results, time frame and healing + achieving results may vary from client to client. It is the client's responsibility to maintain his/her skin at home through efficient and recommended home products, also to follow the advice given the day of treatment (aftercare form + verbal advice). Refunds are NOT accepted for dissatisfaction/ changing your mind about treatments, services or products. You pay for reserved time, product use and all other expenses applicable to your offered treatment. Refunds will NOT be made for any reason (including: sudden allergies, skin reactions, results not achieved,...). If you find a purchased product defective, we will provide you with a new product or issue a refund, provided you return the defective product to us. This has to be done in person (on site) or by post (Bpost, with insurance on shipping!), the expenses for shipping by post are for the customer. The right of withdrawal is valid for 14 days and only for purchases made through the webshop. This also applies to the KUUR sessions, package is purchased and opened.
